Paul Shogren

Principal

Paul Shogren is a qualified canon lawyer and canon law Advocate. He has twenty years of experience in the field of canon law in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand. Before establishing Shogren Canonical in March 2023, Paul was a Judge of the Regional Tribunal for Queensland and the Director of the Office of the Judicial Vicar for Queensland. Paul has an international client base with clients from Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Europe.

Helen Shogren

Practice Manager

Helen has worked collaboratively with Paul throughout well over three decades of marriage in a wide variety of fields, most often in the context of the Catholic Church. They have six children, with grandchildren numbering in the double figures and increasing. Helen brings to Shogren Canonical decades of organisational and administrative experience, in both Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as a calm, thoughtful and receptive demeanour.
