Paul Shogren

Principal

Paul Shogren is a qualified canon lawyer and canon law Advocate. He has over seventeen years of experience in the field of canon law in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Australia. Before establishing Shogren Canonical in March 2023, Paul was a Judge of the Regional Tribunal for Queensland and the Director of the Office of the Judicial Vicar for Queensland.

Helen Shogren

Practice Manager

Helen has worked collaboratively with Paul throughout their more than three decades of marriage in a wide variety of fields, most often in the context of the Catholic Church. They have six children and a growing number of grandchildren. Helen brings to Shogren Canonical decades of organisational and administrative experience, in both Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as a calm, thoughtful and receptive demeanour.
